Amanda Boerboom

Personal Statement: I believe that a meaningful life can be found in how we choose to engage and impact others. It can be measured in words, actions and what we chose to do when no one else is looking. In life, I have chosen to volunteer my time and when I am able money to causes that I believe in. When it is time, it is my wish that my body will help someone else continue their journey. To me, organ and tissue donation is an act of compassion and continuity. It transforms loss into life, grief into gratitude, and endings into new beginnings. It provides an opportunity that even in physical absence, we can still do good, still offer hope, and still be a positive light in someone’s story.
