Shelly Powell, incoming VP, Clinical Ops

Shelly Powell will join LifeCenter Northwest Sept. 3, 2024 as the next Vice President, Clinical Operations.

Powell joins the organization with more than two decades of healthcare experience, most recently serving as the Vice President of Patient Care Services at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, where she was accountable for strategic, operational, and financial performance for all primary care practices, as well as nine multi-specialty regional medical centers.

Powell began her career in Human Resources management, serving in leadership roles for various clinical areas and leading Kaizen improvements in ambulatory care. She has extensive experience in applying LEAN methodology in healthcare, sponsoring and leading improvement events in a wide array of acute, perioperative, and ambulatory care areas.

She lives in Western Washington with her spouse, three daughters, and her Havanese dog named Teddy. With Powell’s experience and connection to our mission, we’re eager to partner to reach new milestones in our life-saving work of organ and tissue donation.
