Losing a loved one is a traumatic experience. Our Donor Family Aftercare support team provides families with customized resources and referrals available by phone, as well as follow-up support for at least a year and a half to help families navigate the grieving process.
We are here for you
Everybody grieves differently.
During the weeks and months following the loss of a loved one, our Donor Family Aftercare program provides you with continued support for a minimum of 18 months to help you move toward a place of comfort at your own pace and with the assurance that we are here to help every step of the way.
We touch base with personal phone calls and provide you with resources specific to your grieving needs. You will also receive a donation outcome letter telling you a little bit about how your loved one’s gifts may help others.
Going forward, we will provide you with opportunities to honor your loved one and their gift of life, including a Gift of Life Donor Medal and invitations to our annual Donation Celebrations. These are great ways to keep the memories of your loved one present.
