Deena Benjamin joined the LifeCenter Northwest team in 2004 as an Organ Recovery Coordinator. During her tenure at LCNW, Deena has worked closely with various departments and clinical teams in hospitals throughout the region. Her dedication to being a steward of the gift of life is unwavering, and her compassion for serving donor families continues to grow every day. When asked where her dedication for this work stems from Deena said, “Simply, the passion for the mission of saving lives. I wake up every day not knowing who I will meet, but being able to provide a better day for them is what makes everything worthwhile.” Deena has recently been promoted to Family Support Manager, a role she is excited to take on and continue her professional development in the donation industry.
Deena’s new position consists of leading our Family Support team comprised of five on-site support coordinators, specialists who cares for families on-site as well as providing continued support after donation occurs, and an aftercare support coordinator who manages our 18-month minimum bereavement program. In stepping into her new role, Deena looks forward to “being there for families during the worst time of their lives, and making those tragic events just a little easier through the gift of donation”.
We would like to congratulate Deena for her promotion to this new role! All of us at LifeCenter are excited to see her commitment to our mission flourish in her new position and are proud to have her lead our outstanding Family Support Team!
