Mozae “Mo” Allenbach, 15, from Seattle, was a kind and silly, beautiful and creative, selfless and giving person who chose to join the organ donor registry when she received her driver’s permit in 2022. Mo passed away only a few months after making this choice, and she saved five people and healed many more through organ and tissue donation.
Last Thursday, February 15, in Olympia, Wash., we had the pleasure of honoring Mo and spending the day with her mom, Jeannie Allenbach, and Mo’s best friend, Victoria.
April is Donate Life Month and Washington state recognizes its significance with a resolution reading in the House and Senate prior to the formal proclamation by the governor in April. Rep. Jamila Taylor and Sen. Ann Rivers met with Jeannie and Victoria to learn more about Mo and the impact of her gifts.
They both wore #MoKindness bracelets as they led the readings. The bracelets are Jeannie’s way of honoring her daughter’s memory and legacy.
“Let’s make being kind cool again,” says Jeannie.
